Union Firearms

From Extra Activity Lore

Founded in 1816 A.D., USA.

Union Firearms is America’s oldest firearm maker that is still active, producing shotgun models that have been unchanged for at least one century and a half.

The company was acquired in 2007 by a private equity firm, Chimera Management and put inside another group called Union Outdoors. Union Outdoors declared bankruptcy in 2020, and Union Firearms were sold to another group, Circlehill LLC. The name wasn’t changed due to historical reasons, and Union continues to operate normally.

Union Firearms is responsible for a bunch of ammo calibers, with military contracts that persisted even during their parent company’s bankruptcy, as well as pistols, a variety of shotguns, rifles and sniper rifles.

Union SportHunt

Type: Shotgun

Union makes plenty of guns but no gun is as famous as the SportHunt. Used by police and military, as well as hunters, sportsmen and gun enthusiasts, with over 20 million users worldwide, the century-old SportHunt shows that a simple design is all you need to get the job done.

A pump action shotgun that can hold from 3 to 8 shells at once, can use multiple gauges and can be found with wood or polymer finishes, the SportHunt remains the most popular shotgun in the world. It is also a star of movies and the like, starring in more action movies than any action movie actor that has ever lived.
