Krieg

From Extra Activity Lore

Founded in 1864 A.D., Switzerland.

Krieg Industries was initially Krieg Waggonfabrik in 1853, but upon receiving a contract to produce rifles for the Swiss government in 1864, it was renamed to Krieg Industrie Gesellschaft. In 1976, the company created a German branch, calling itself Krieg GmbH, and production was divided between the Swiss main branch and the German branch.

KriegArms was established in the USA in 1985 to import European-made guns, eventually producing them in 1990. All three branches were eventually put inside a large conglomerate called Krieg Industries, with their headquarters being in Virginia, USA. The company landed two US Army contracts with their rifles, the K329 and the KMS-Lance, named M17 and M6 respectively, but had since been discarded for other rifles.

The company’s portfolio includes pistols, assault rifles and sniper rifles.

Krieg K329

Type: Handgun

Krieg Industries' K329 pistol was once known as the default military pistol as the M17 several years prior. Its initial batch caused misfires and hurt the reputation of the firearm but despite that, the US Military kept their orders of the pistol. While its time came and went, Krieg Industries fixed its issues and decided to sell the pistol to the masses and because of its unbeatable ergonomics and high compatibility with most calibers without issue, it became a favorite to the common citizen.

Krieg K656

Type: Assault Rifle

Krieg Industries' K600 rifle series started with the K650 but eventually it got a new version called the K656. The rifle became a popular option in the USA before the Firearms Ban Removal law in 2031 and even more so after it. With only minor cosmetic changes over the K650, this rifle remains a popular choice with paramilitary forces and civilians, and any attempts to change it were met with rejection. Bonus: It can be fitted with Valerianov rifles’ magazines without any conversions.

Krieg KMS-Lance

Type: Battle Rifle

Krieg Industries' attempt to modernize their lineup was usually met with rejection, but there was one rifle that won customers over: the KMS (Krieg Modular System). Riffing off the AR-15 system, the KMS is a very capable platform of rifles with many variants. The KMS-Lance has a longer and heavier barrel, being chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO makes it the ‘battle rifle’ variant of the KMS lineup. Its unmistakable FDE finish makes it impossible to miss it in action.

The US Army selected the KMS-Lance to replace the STR-XB (known as the M5B1) as the M6 in 2037, but eventually replaced it with another rifle in 2050.
